Course & Duration

The MBBS is a 5.5 year (4.5 years academic education + 1 year mandatory internship) UG degree programme leading to the two degrees as Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery.


The MBBS is one of the most sought courses after 12th science in medical field. There are so many colleges and universities from across the countries which are offering the MBBS course.


The students, who have cleared the 10+2 examination and they had the Physics, Chemistry and Biology in 12th stream, may go for the MBBS degree course.


The MBBS is the only course in India to become a medical doctor. The MBBS course contains the basic subjects like physiology, biochemistry, microbiology, anatomy, pharmacology and pathology.


It is the course with hands on training with five years long. The students interact with the patient and get the practical knowledge of diseases.

The initial salary of a medical graduate doctor may be the Rs. 20,000 to Rs. 35,000 per month. After getting the experience and good hands on in this field, the candidate may get the handsome salary as 8 to 10 lakh per annum.

MBBS full course is of 5 and half year comprises of 4 and half year of complete syllabus to study(Which i will be mentioning below) and 1 year of internship in the same college (or differentcollege if u want to)

1st year- (one year)

2nd year-

(of one and half year and also in some colleges it is also called as 2nd year of 6 months and 3rd year of 1 year ; whereas the syllabus remains the same and only one university exam happens at the end of the year)

3rd  year
